Today I have done a fun notebook and altered pen project that is totally inspired by my former DT Sister Christy... Using the Fabscraps "Milkshake Collection" I made a fun mini notebook... perfect for that nostalgic friend or student. I love anything 1950's so I knew had to create with this fun collection. I used the 4x6 chipboard, other sizes are available, to make the front and back cover. Using Scor-Tape from the shop for my adhesive on this project... there are several widths available. I adhered the cardstock to the chipboard. I love this chipboard too, it is a nice thick grade. next i added some of the adorable shoe brads to the front and 2 shades of seam binding down the wire spine. Before using my Cinch to bind it together I distressed the edges some using Tim Holtz' Vintage Photo which is now available in the mini's along with several other colors too. Lastly I took a pen, wrapped it in seam binding and added one the foam flowers to the top... an FYI, these pens are easy peasy and make great party favors for a bridal shower. If you do any games that consist of writing, just give your guests a pen and afterwards they get to keep it :)!!!

This is a Pinterest DIY inspired project by max & me using products from Gone Artsy... be sure to check out their blog for more FAB projects. Now when I first this I knew I had to do one for myself. This can be a great item to hang in the car, or the Christmas tree... the themes for this project are endless and a great craft project to do with the kids... SO AGAIN, be sure to check out max & me to learn how to create this.

I created a grid on my Silhouette CAMEO cutting machine (or you can draw out a grid on your paper and cut with your favorite scissors or rotary cutter) to cut the paper from the DoCrafts Papermania Madame Payraud Paper Pack - GA545 in 2 cm x 2 cm squares... from this pack I used a total of 6- 6x6 sheets in 3 different patterns. Next taking the Bead and Gem Gripper Tool with Four Prongs - GA481... a FABULOUS tool and one of my favorite tools ever... I was so glad Deb got it in the shop... using the tool I placed the end of it onto the center of the square, brought the corners drown over the tip of it and just gave it a scrunch around the tip of the tool. Then I just added a drop of hot glue, took the "scrunched" square and placed it on the glue... HINT: I used the tip of the tool to push the square into place and hold it down till adhered to the ball... this tool was a life saver doing this project not to mention its actual use with beads and gems... I MUST HAVE!!

NOTE: once I completed gluing the individual 2 cm x 2 cm squares onto the foam ball I used the Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distressing ink all over.. I went in one direction moving around the ball... and once I completed it all over I then repeated going the opposite direction for more coverage.
