Howdy lovely crafty people... well I went and done it folks... I SEWED!!! Now those who know me.. know I am a no sew gal., but last Christmas, well it was an early gift... my son's got me a sewing machine. Well the hubby and I had went away for an over night stay to a casino boat where they had this adorable scarf/neck accessory... NOW, you already know it was expensive!... my husband said, "you can make that"... he's so supportive God love him! Well, I did! Using the beautiful Ivory Dragonfly Lace - GA818 and the Tear Drop Dangle Lace (GA319) I created my own. The tear drop lace has a loopy trim that runs along the edge... I just trimmed that off and stitched it along both sides of the dragon fly lace. I chose these two laces to go together because the tear drop reminded me of the tail of the dragon fly in the dragon fly lace... next I made a pin out of the High Heel Embellishment - GA680. I just attached a closure using E600. I am very pleased with my little version of this wonderful accessory... Gone Artsy products are not only for the crafters... but the seamstresses too... this beginning one for sure!!! ;)

.... I added it to a pillow case to give an extra touch. Using the lovely wide laces from Gone Artsy and adding them to a set of pillow cases always make for a fabulous gift... especially a wedding gift for the bride and groom.

This lovely Royal Blue and White Silk Roses and Calla Lilies Ensemble was created using some of the fabulous products from Gone Artsy. I began first using the Straight Handle Bouquet Holders (GA214) for the brides and bridesmaids bouquets. I embellished the bouquets and the underneath with the gorgeous White Ostrich Feather Trim (GA68). I also added in 2 different styles of ribbon along with several sprays of the NEW 4" Rhinestone Spray - GA816 to the bouquets and boutineers. I added in ivy, ribbons and lace to the brides bouquet and finished the handles off with some of the Silver Toned Diamond Wrap Mesh Bling (GA222) and a piece if the Scalloped Five Petal Pearl and Rhinestone Flower Embellishment (GA115)

Its Derby fever here in my hometown... so this month at Gone Artsy we are doing Derby Themed Projects. Here I did a fun horseshoe banner perfect for a simple and fun Derby event. I cut the horseshoes shapes out using my Silhouette CAMEO die cutter. Next I altered the horseshoes using the Signature Champagne Glass Glitter Medley - GA641 and the Gold Fusion Glass Glitter - GA630. This stuff is so cool! I added in and cut apart some of the Butterfly Dangle Lace - GA280 cause of the fun dangle to add some character. Next I added some scrap pieces I had left over of the Off White Faux Pearl Garland Trim (GA294). The leaves and the pearl sprigs are from my stash. I embellished with one of the Real Feel 1.5" Soft Foam Ivory Roses Set of 12 (GA382) and two of the Real Feel 1.5" Soft Foam Pink Roses Set of 12 - GA380I used some of the jute cording from the Prima Marketing Gypsy Cord 5yd Analetta - GA903 to join each horseshoe together. Then I added scrapes in between each one with the May Arts Ribbon 2.5" Cotton Blend w/Vintage Inspired Rose Garden - GA364 and of the 5 yards of Seam Binding - Cameo Beige. Using my CAMEO I designed, printed and cut the WIN, PLACE & SHOW flags and added them in!

NOTE: Many of the scrapes and extras used on this project where from the Vintage Roses and Lace Purse Kit that you can also find in the the Gone Artsy Shop.

This month is all about the Kentucky Derby...
WHOOP WHOOP... I am super excited cause this happens right here in my hometown!
The one thing ya think of when you here Kentucky  Derby, besides the horses are the fabulous and wacky hats... yes we see some very strange one...lol!
Being from here we also see a lot of Derby themed weddings.
Folks take this opportunity to REALLY celebrate on the first Saturday in May!
For my project today I done a Fascinator... GREAT for someone who really isn't into wearing a huge hat, but wantes to be apart of that Derby experience... or great if you are a guest attending a Derby Wedding... in addition to a great head piece for the bridal party.

With Henrietta's help here... that's my Styrofoam heads name... hehehehe...
I used a shoulder pad for the base...
that's right... if you held onto those 80's shoulder pads...
where here is a great way to use them!
I covered it using the foofy flowers from the
Deep Ivory Lace and Chiffon Flower Collar - GA700... saving the beautiful lace for another project.

Next I added in both the Two Toned Curly Nagorie Goose Feather Pad - Ivory/Brown (GA103) and the Champagne Ostrich Feather Trim (GA151). I also attached in some netting that I saved.. it had marbles in it. I just played with it and moved it about till I had it where I wanted it. then I added the beautiful  Pearl and Rhinestone Embellishment (GA113). I had taken apart a Five Row Pearl and Rhinestone Stretch Bracelet (GA218) sometime ago for another project and saved the left over pearls and rhinestones for future projects. Well, I decided to place some of the pearls randomly on the foofy flowers from the collar.

Then I attached one of Large Clear Hair Combs - Set of 2 (GA216) to the back.
You could also use the Silver Toned DIY Headband (GA213) or the Gold Toned DIY Headbands (GA212)... if you prefer a barrette... no worries... you can also find Silver Toned DIY Barrettes - Set of 2 (GA215) in the shop!!

Card making was my first love of paper crafting... I still do invitations for weddings or maybe swaps, but I forgot how much I enjoy making cards for a special occasion.
So here I have used various cardstocks from my stash I put together this
simple yet elegant card with products from Gone Artsy

Products Used:
Vintage Roses and Lace Purse Kit Dainty Floral Shield Lace from kit (Left Overs)
Five Row Pearl and Rhinestone Stretch Bracelet - I dismantled the bracelet to use the pearls and rhinestones on other projects... here I used the rhinestones down the butterfly

This month is about Love and Birthday's...
So I have done a centerpiece perfect for that country french or vintage wedding!
I have saved a ton of old veggie cans that I was going to use to make some patriotic centerpieces for Memorial Day... so I used one for this project. I applied the Piccolo Enamel Powder in the Aged White... this is some cool stuff too... all over the entire can with my VersaMark watermark stamp, working in sections and then sprinkling the powder over that. Next I heated it with a heat gun... REALLY COOL!!!
I adorned the tiny can with beautiful products from Gone Artsy and created a lovely floral arrangement. I used a card holder pick I had and added the butterfly Velvetine Flocked Laser Cut that is now available in the shop rather then a table number. I used doilies from the shop to set the arrangement on.
